Hiring an electric boat costs €30 per boat per hour. You can pay in cash or by pin. Our 5 whisper boats can accommodate groups of 1 to 35 people. For catering suggestions, please contact café de Harmonie.
Boating is at your own risk, with a maximum of 7 people per boat. Life jackets for children and route maps are available. Boats are available for hire daily from Easter to 1 November from 10am.
The route through historic Edam takes about 1 hour. If you book 2 or 3 hours, you can, for example, sail a section of the ring canal or moor somewhere for lunch, drinks or a swim.
Afgelopen jaar heerlijk gevaren in de nadagen van het seizoen door feeëriek Edam. Ik ben goed geholpen door de uitbater die tevens ook bij cafe de Harmonie werkt. De kaart met extra informatie gaf mij een mooi inkijkje in de voor mij toch al wel bekende stad. De prijs is laag voor wat je er voor terug krijgt.
Op een rustige doch winderige dag een fluisterbootje voor de tocht door Edam gehuurd. Je bent er met een uurtje wel doorheen, en de route is erg geschikt voor het stadje. De kaart die we meekregen was gelukkig gelamineerd en stond vol met leuke weetjes en bezienswaardigheden in en rondom Edam.
We werden netjes naar onze boot verwezen, kregen uitleg hoe t werkt, een plattegrond mee met route en een zwemvest voor onze kleine dame van 4 (hoewel het vest wel te groot was voor haar en de ondergesp was ook stuk) we hebben een heerlijke vaartocht van een uurtje gehad door mooi Edam.
Onze tocht met de fluisterboot was fantastisch – de boot was makkelijk te bedienen en het uitzicht op de stad vanaf het water was adembenemend!"
